ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY

CARAVANE-Climate Art Fusion is an international, non-profit initiative that strives to create an inclusive environment for artistic and personal expression, recognizing the importance of cultural competency and inclusivity as fundamental components of a participatory democracy. In keeping with these values, it is mandatory for all guests, presenters, speakers, audience members, and CARAVANE members, whether participating in or representing our activities anywhere in the world, to adhere to our code of conduct, code of ethics, and our policies on non-discrimination and anti-harassment.

Participants involved in CARAVANE activities, whether physical or virtual, in any country, must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, or sexual orientation. To ensure this, CARAVANE will develop and regularly update comprehensive ethical guidelines, monitored by an Ethical Advisor.

Additionally, sensitive personal data collection, integral to our research, will be handled with utmost care. Adequate measures, including a detailed Data Management Plan and appointment of a Data Protection Officer, are set to ensure the security of such data. Furthermore, while the project recognizes a broad definition of gender, it aims to intensify focus on protecting gender minorities from potential risks.

Examples of harassment (not limited solely to these cases) are: (1) offensive sex-oriented verbal kidding, teasing or jokes; (2) repeated unwanted sexual flirtations, advances or propositions; (3) verbal abuse of a sexual or any other nature; (4) graphic or degrading comments about an individual’s appearance or sexual activity; (5) offensive visual conduct, including leering, making sexual gestures, the display of offensive sexually suggestive objects or pictures, cartoons or posters; (6) unwelcome pressure for sexual activity; (7) offensively suggestive or obscene letters, notes or invitations; or (8) offensive physical contact such as patting, grabbing, pinching, or brushing against another’s body.

CARAVANE reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any participant or organization that acts contrary to the respect and dignity of others or depreciates the integrity of CARAVANE and its members. Such behavior includes, but is not limited to, any form of harassment, whether sexual or not, and any unwelcome conduct based on gender, which our policies strictly forbid regardless of the gender dynamics involved.

In summary, CARAVANE-Climate Art Fusion upholds a zero-tolerance policy towards misbehavior and mistreatment, ensuring a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. Violations of our code of conduct will lead to immediate exclusion from all future activities, and if necessary, legal actions will be pursued to uphold our ethical standards.
