CARAVANE Final Festival in Málaga — A Cross-European Celebration of Youth, Art, and Climate Culture
27–28 November 2025
Málaga, Spain
The CARAVANE Final Festival represents the culmination of a two-year journey of artistic experimentation, climate-driven creativity and cultural collaboration across Europe. As a closing celebration, the festival brings together all those who contributed to the project: young participants, artists, educators, researchers, community organisations and citizens. This gathering is not only a showcase of outcomes, but also a communal space for exchange, reflection and envisioning what comes next.
Over two days, audiences will immerse themselves in workshops, exhibitions, screenings, discussions, performances and collective actions. These activities highlight CARAVANE’s core message: that art can be a meaningful tool for climate awareness, community building and participatory change.
Festival Program
Before presenting the detailed schedule, it is important to highlight that the program is designed to reflect the central values of CARAVANE: participation, co-creation, dialogue and accessibility. The activities encourage everyone—visitors, students, guests and facilitators—to contribute to a shared experience rather than observe as passive audiences. Each session has been curated to demonstrate the methods, practices and artistic languages developed during the project.

Discovering Málaga
The festival offers an opportunity not only to engage with artistic work but also to appreciate Málaga’s cultural, historical and culinary identity. The city combines its Roman, Moorish and Mediterranean heritage with modern artistic energy and a dynamic youth scene. Visiting its landmarks and neighbourhoods complements the festival experience by situating CARAVANE within the broader local landscape of culture, memory and creativity.
Highlights include the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro Castle, Málaga Cathedral, the contemporary Soho District, and the lively Atarazanas Market. The rhythm of the city can also be felt through its food culture: tapas shared among friends, seaside meals along La Malagueta, and relaxed evening gatherings.
Food & Tapas Culture
Sharing food in Málaga is a social ritual that combines conversation, conviviality and flavours of Andalusia. Participants may explore both traditional and contemporary cuisine in areas close to the venues and in the city centre. Typical dishes include espetos (grilled sardines), marinated anchovies, pescaíto frito and sweet local wines. Plant-based options are increasingly available in many restaurants.
