The year at the Caravane premises ended on the highest note, filled with amazing vibes!
In December, the Caravane project brought together art, culture, and the open road to create an unforgettable experience in Slovenia. It was a journey that celebrated mobility, creativity, and meaningful connections, leaving participants with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
The adventure began in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s vibrant capital, where history and modernity meet in the most delightful way. Participants explored the cobbled streets along the Ljubljanica River, climbed to the iconic Ljubljana Castle, and soaked in the energy of Metelkova, an alternative cultural hub alive with graffiti and creative expression. The city’s charm lay not only in its landmarks but also in its welcoming atmosphere and the ease of getting around sustainably, whether by bike or public transport.
Beyond the city, the breathtaking landscapes of Slovenia awaited. From the serene beauty of Lake Bled to the majestic Julian Alps, each destination felt like a scene from a dream. Traveling by caravan allowed participants to embrace the freedom of the open road, pausing to take in the views and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings.
The heart of the project, however, was the vibrant program of events and activities that unfolded over ten days. Participants engaged in a range of creative workshops, from graffiti art sessions to dance piece creation, all of which culminated in a local festival showcasing their collaborative work. The schedule was packed with opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate:
- On December 2, participants were welcomed with introductions at the Youth Center Ulca or Youth Center Bob, setting the stage for a supportive and creative environment.
- From December 3 to 5, graffiti workshops and dance creation sessions filled the days, providing space for artistic expression and collaboration.
- December 6 featured a deep dive into the history of hip hop, followed by introductions among participants and a lively local festival in the evening.
- After a reflective morning session on December 7, participants explored Ljubljana’s graffiti scene on a guided tour.
- December 8 to 10 brought beat-making workshops and further dance creation sessions, allowing participants to hone their craft and work together on innovative projects.
- The journey concluded on December 11 with an evaluation session and heartfelt goodbyes, leaving everyone inspired and connected.
Each day was a blend of creativity and camaraderie, with moments of discovery woven into the schedule. Participants not only learned new skills but also built lasting relationships, sharing stories and experiences that transcended borders.
The Caravane project was more than just a series of events—it was a celebration of art, community, and the power of coming together. For those who joined, it wasn’t just about exploring Slovenia or honing creative skills; it was about being part of something larger, something meaningful.
As the dust settles on this remarkable journey, the memories remain vivid—a testament to the magic that happens when art and travel intertwine. Those who participated in the Caravane project will surely carry the spirit of this adventure with them, wherever the road may lead next.
